Bella Bast Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c )(3) not-for-profit rescue group dedicated to providing rescue, aid and care for unwanted, abused, neglected and needy cats. We seek to make sure that every cat we rescue is placed in a safe and loving environment, and while in our care is properly cared for medically and emotionally. In the future, as we grow, we intend to work strenuously to ensure heavier penalties within our laws regarding animal abuse.

We have done rescues from South Carolina to Patterson, New Jersey and Spanish Harlem, New York. We believe that every cat deserves to live and be loved.

Our adoption center is located at Animal Pantry at 620 Sunrise Highway in West Babylon. There you will find some of our lucky kitty rescues waiting for their forever homes.

June 16, 2011 - The burns on the back of neck are so severe, he can’t fully hold up his head. But that doesn’t stop Hero, a seven-year old, black and white cat from purring when he hears the soothing words of the rescuers who apply ointment to his wounds.

Ten days ago, Hero was saved by Bella Bast Rescue, Inc., a rescue group out of West Babylon, Long Island. One of the group’s foster moms saw Hero on the grounds of her condominium in nearby Deer Park. From what she could see, Hero had terrible burns on his body. She contacted the police and Bella Bast Rescue founder and president Debra Pluchino for help.
